As you all know, it was the 4th of July here in America, and we celebrate because it is our Independence day.
We went out of state last weekend and bought some fireworks, because in Illinois the good ones are illegal, but not in good old Indiana! :)
(We were there for other reasons, but it was a pleasant surprise.)
Anyway, after buying some roman candles and bottle rockets, along with Saturn Missiles and the "good" sparklers, we decided to have a good ole American cook-out at my brothers house on the 4th.
I decided to make these super-easy cookies with this recipe I found on All Recipes.com
Cake Cookies! They are so easy and de-lish!
I used Stars and Stripes Funfetti Cake Mix to make the patriotic! O think of the possibilities! Brownie mix cookies, lemon, strawberry, I got some pink lemonade cake mix the other day that would be awesome!
The recipes is so easy, really!
1 box cake mix(any flavor)
2 eggs
1/2 cup veggie oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients in large bowl and hand mix until well blended. For the funfetti ones you stir in the sprinkles....then place 1-2 inch balls on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Then you cool them and they are ready to eat! Very soft and chewy! They were all gone within 10 minutes!
Sorry about the bad pic, I was using my phone, and we all know I do not have a fancy smart-phone. Why, you ask?
Because I don't want my phone to be smarter than I am! lol
Thanks for reading!
